With support from your generous donations and sales of products and services, Melly's Workplace provides hands-on job experience, workplace training and development, and supported employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Melly’s Workplace is a registered charity and social enterprise led by passionate volunteers of all backgrounds who believe strongly in the goals of the charity to provide a positive, safe, and nurturing training and employment environment where adults with intellectual and developmental disability can contribute in a meaningful way and advance their opportunities to empower their life dreams and desires.
Melly’s Workplace is in Whitby Ontario where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities get workplace training, hands-on experience, job opportunities and employment while enhancing life skills, building friendships and gaining independence.
The charity works with Melly's Market + Cafe with a limited menu and a small retail section that promotes local artisans. The result are excellent employees and respected citizens of Durham Region whose life just happens to include a disability.
